Kemper Engineering Services, LLC was founded in December of 2006. It is the post-Katrina recovery of Kemper Imageering, Inc, which was founded in November of 1997 and operated until March of 2006. Kemper Imageering ceased operating due to the economic conditions in the surrounding region after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

KES’s president, Bart Kemper, is the former principal engineer of Kemper Imageering, Inc. He had been a mobilized Army Reserve engineer officer serving in Iraq from July 2005 to September 2006. Upon his return from duty he started KES to continue the tradition of providing cost effective, timely, accurate and innovative engineering services. 

His original partner was his father, LTC Clarence Kemper Jr. (RET).  He passed away in 2008.  Recognizing the need for a strong management partner, Krista Wohlfeil became the firm's CEO in early 2011.  Her leadership and management abilities were demonstrated repeatedly during her initial three years with the firm.   Her technical acumen is exemplified by her invitation to be a primary member of the Submersible Subcommittee for the ASME PVHO Code.  Our management team provides continuity and sets a high standard for the company's work.

KES has undertaken the engineering liability and continuity for all of KI’s former clients. KES went global in its first year and provides high quality services through the Gulf South, nationally and internationally.
